We have been sending out a Christmas card with
our family picture on it for several years now.
It was recently brought to my attention that
we were eligible for 50 FREE (did you read that part?)
Christmas cards from Shutterfly.
And, since I use Shutterfly anyway, I decided
to take advantage of this deal!
Shutterfly has so many options.
I personally only look at the cards that say:
Merry Christmas.
I think that it is important in everything we do to remember
why we celebrate Christmas in the first place.
Jesus was born.
He was born to die.
For me.
For you.
For the world.
Christmas is about Him.
PERIOD.
There are some great cards here:
I really like cards with various slots for pictures.
With our kids being the ages they are (or maybe just being kids in general)
it is hard to find a picture where all four of us are looking,
smiling, behaving, etc.
So, when there are various slots for pictures on the card, I can pick and choose and
if I cannot find ONE perfect one, I have more options!
I think my favorite is this one:
Or maybe this one:
Or maybe this one:
But they have 803 options so I am not sure I will choose any of these three!
Shutterfly also has other gift ideas.
I have made desk calendars as gifts in the past.
Last year I made one for Pancho for his work desk.
I also made one for my mom for her work desk.
Take a look here if you are interested in a desk calendar:
At this point I am not in the market for any other type of card that Shutterfly offers.
Yet, I have used their birth announcements in the past.
They have some wonderful choices here:
Tomorrow our photographer and friend
(he is our friend first and has since become our preferred photographer)
is coming for a non-traditional Thanksgiving meal of
pabellon (shredded beef, black beans, fried plantains and rice)
and he is going to be taking our family photo for our annual Christmas card.
I have been racking my brain for cool ideas for this year's card.
To no avail.
I have some ideas but I do not think that they are cool.
If you have any ideas, could you please comment?
I am looking for ideas for our attire and for poses.
Any other thoughts are welcome as well.
Thank you, in advance, Sarah and Elizabeth, my two followers
who always have great ideas!
