Today we went fall shopping mostly for Katrina. Nana bought her an entire fall wardrobe and this evening she modeled some outfits (I made sure basically all the tops go with all the pants) for the camera. By the end she was really getting into the modeling.
God has proven His faithfulness time and time again as we walk through life with Him. Here we share both the ups and downs and what He is teaching us about His faithfulness through it all.

Can He Be Any Cuter?
Samuel is such a cutie... That smile melts my heart every single time I see it. Last year at this time we had just found out that we were having a boy, not a girl (remember?), and I was scared to death. We had lost three babies and we were expecting our fifth baby (second live birth) and were seeing a perinatologist becuase of our risk factors. I was petrified we were going to lose yet another baby and yet this time God saw fit to let me carry Samuel to term and here he is, seven months later and we could not be more full of gratitude.
Samuel has friends too

Movin' On Up
Katrina is only 30 pounds and therefore needs to be in a transitional car seat until she is at least 40 pounds. We bought a car seat that serves children from 22 to 100 pounds. Although we are pretty sure she will not be using it when she is 100 pounds (I weighed 110 when I got married!), we wanted something that gave us some flexibility, especially since most likely Samuel will move out of the Britax (maximum 40 pounds) before Katrina is ready to be car seat-less and then he can move into the Safety First Vantage and she can get a little booster.
Now we are getting used to having Samuel in our arms and then in the cart without his infant carrier when we run errands. He enjoys the change of scenery and we feel like we have a big boy.

7 months and counting
Now I am 7 months (well, tomorrow, but Mama has time today and is taking advantage of it!). 7 months? That is incredible. Where has the time gone?
Last week at my doctor appointment I weighed in at 19 pounds 13 ounces. I measured 28 inches. Papa and Mama ordered Katrina a new car seat and it should arrive today and then I am going to move into Katrina's old one. Stinks being the second child, huh? Just kidding. I am glad to get out of the infant carrier and into a Britax.
I am sitting up without trouble and now when I take a bath every night I simply sit on a towel in the tub. I love kicking my feet and getting Mama all wet. Two nights ago Katrina got in the tub with me and we actually had fun together!
I roll from front to back and back to front and I move around quite a bit. I am not officially crawling or even creeping but last night Papa put his hand behind my feet to give me some stability and I pushed against his hand and enjoyed moving. I am going to be working hard at learning to get from here to there.
I don't think Mama has had a chance to tell you all that I am sleeping MUCH better lately. Last night I slept through again! Mama thinks that if I eat well during the day (bottles and solids) and get good naps and I get a bath before bed and take the Zyrtec that I sleep well. I think she is on to something and I am going to help her prove her theory true.
Well, I think that is about all for this month.
Cashed Out
While we were at K.A.S.H. yesterday Samuel cashed out in the swing. I had my eye on Katrina in the playground area just to the right of this swing set and several people asked, "Whose baby is this?" when they saw Samuel in the swing technically all alone. It did look like he was there alone, that someone had left him, but I can guarantee you, I would NEVER leave him. Who could leave such a cutie?
