Have you ever heard that song, "Friends are friends forever if the Lord's the Lord of them?" This song captivates Katrina and her best friend Taylor. I know that they are really young for the Lord to be the Lord of them and yet, it is our hope (mine and Taylor's mom, I am sure) that some day the Lord will be the Lord of both of them and therefore they will be friends forever.
Taylor was gone for over 3 weeks during August and before that this summer we had company and were overly occupied with other tasks so Katrina and Taylor did not have a lot of time to spend together. Well, yesterday we finally got together for a SUPER fun play date and the girls reconnected like they had never been apart.
Thank you, Lord, for dear friends. Please help the girls come to an early understanding of Your love and of the relationship You long to have with them as individuals so that the song holds true, "Friends are friends forever if the Lord's the Lord of them."
