Yesterday Joel took a chupi (pacifier)
for the first time.
It was love at first suck!
He definitely looks like his older siblings
and in this way, he is acting
just like them!

We have decided to stay in
the hospital one more day.
Our doctor came in this morning at
7 and said that he thought it was
better to stay and recover one more day.
I am experiencing quite a bit of pain
at the incision site so we all thought it was
a good recommendation.
Joel is doing very well.
He slept great last night.
The nurse offered to take him to the
nursery (which was a surprise to us)
so we could get some better rest
and that was such a blessing.
I think I got 6 hours of combined sleep,
which is HUGE!
He is also eating well.
We are enjoying him so very
much and look forward
to getting home and establishing
a new normal as a family of 5.
yay for another day! Hope it was a restfilled one! :) I LOVED sending my kids to the nursery and never felt guilty about it...it was just a welcome relief to have a little bit of real rest- not the kind you get when you're worried about when they're gonna wake up next! :)
