Tonight we had to give Katrina a suppository. She has had some really hard poops and today she had a terrible belly ache so we had no choice.
I took her into the bathroom and laid her down on a towel. She was really upset and tense. Finally she let me do it. She was crying so hard and I started sobbing. My body was shaking and she could feel that because I she had laid her head down on my lap, waiting to go.
She stopped crying and said, "Why are you crying, Mama?"
I told her I was so sad to have to give her a suppository.
It was a very special moment...I think she saw, in that moment, that we don't give her suppositories to hurt her but rather to help her.
I hope she can extrapolate this lesson to realize that EVERYTHING we do is for her good.
We have learned this lesson over and over and over with God. He ALWAYS does that which is for our good and for His glory.
