I want to be born again

Lately we have been talking a lot about birth and we have slowly been preparing some things for the upcoming arrival of Katrina's baby brother.

This morning Katrina and I were playing and she asked me who gave her her favorite blanket, the one she sleeps with and asks for when she is hurt or sad. I told her it came from a good friend of mine, Ruth, when she was born.

Then, out of the blue, I heard these words, "Mama, I want to be born again."

They took me by surprise. I stopped for a moment and prayed, "Lord, I know what she means and it is not what I wish she meant and yet this is the attitude I want her heart to have."

Katrina wanted to be "born again" so she could get all sorts of gifts and things. That is understandable coming from a two-year old.

Yet, our prayer for Katrina is that she will be BORN AGAIN. The BORN AGAIN the Bible speaks of, where she surrenders her life to Jesus and accepts His work on the cross. Lord, please let this attitude continue in her and when she is ready and understands, please let
her accept You and Your immense love for her by being BORN AGAIN.
