Woo Do Hoo

Today we went to get a Christmas tree. Katrina was thrilled with this event. She kept saying throughout the proceedings, "Woo Do Hoo." (her version of yippee)

My uncle has quite a few trees on his land and offered us a tree this year so we took my sister-in-law along with us and got a tree.

Katrina helped Panchito cut the tree down.

She stood proudly next to the tree waiting for it to be loaded into the van.

At first we waited outside while Panchito and my uncle loaded up the trees.

Then it got too cold to keep waiting outside so we got into the van.

Because we had one vehicle and two trees, we put our tree in the back of the van and Leanne's tree on top.

This year Katrina did an EXCELLENT job of putting ornaments on the tree. (The only thing is that we know where all of hers are... on the bottom!)

We eventually figured out that if we wanted some ornaments on top, Panchito would have to lift her up. She wanted to put on each and every ornament herself with VERY little help.

I have a great memory of helping my dad putting the star on the top of the tree after we finished decorating it. It was quite nostalgic seeing Katrina help Panchito.

She reached as far as she could and almost had it on top, but Panchito had to help her out a bit.

Who can resist laying under a newly decorated tree and looking up at the lights?
